I'm with you cbeet

me too

we want it adobe because arabic is our nation's language, and we like flash

We, Mac users in the Middle East, appreciate Adobe's software and we would be even more satisfied with right to left languages support, specially, Arabic language support in Adobe's Flash software.

Asslaam Alykom,

I use Gnash for my Ubuntu to get Arabic support as he is not as good as Adobe Player but it does it's job

The Proplem with Arabic in UNIX UNIX-like Systems Like OSX and Gnu/Linux that we lake:

1-

BIDI and that's mean the text is renderd in a wrong order

Arabic ,Hebrew ,Aramic , Thai are written from right to left and adobe ruins it by rendering it like English

and that is too ****ing hard to read a word in that way

2-

Arabic Shaping is so nasty too , Arabic is diffrent from other languges as its written complexed and geatherd

In Arabic, the actual shape of the letter depends on the context of the letter in the word.

Any character in Arabic can take up to 4 forms (Initial, medial, final, isolated)
1- If Initial is missing =%26gt; Use Medial form
2- If Medial is missing =%26gt; Use Isolated form
3- If Final is missing =%26gt; Use Isolated form

The isolated form is the one defined in the main Unicode area for Arabic, and so
must not be missing in any font presuming to contain Arabic letters.

so i suggest using?a lib like Pango or FriBIDI2 to get the arabic suppot

This is so true, I don't get why Windows operating systems _Only_ have the ability to properly view Adobe's Flash material on Arabic (or any other right-to-left language for that matter), its pretty irritating and such a waste of time to just try reading any sentences or word written in Arabic within MacOS X.

Dear Adobe Flash team, please support the capability of right-to-left viewing on Mac OS X not for Arabic language only, but too for the rest (Hebraw, Persian etc閳?

look at this from youtube

Raelly, Why Adobe don't support arabic in mac os?!

I am so sad %26amp; nerviest about this problem!

The only Flash player that's supports Arabic is Swfdec Gnash some times doesn't render probably

it's not perfcet but it supports Youtube and that's all i want

That's a screen shot from my Ubuntu (mac style hehehe)

same thing ...

Huge Company like Adobe Sure can do it

BTW i am in love with Adobe Photoshop

I agree we (Arabic Mac OSX users) Are having a real problem with this situation. Adobe should support the Arabic language.

Thank you,,,

Hi ,

I'm sure that adobe cares about its customers .

We can see that the best programs are programmed by this great company and they support arabic except '' the flash player '' .

It would be great to be able to read our language in the internet properly

I'm with you guys .. WE NEED ARABIC-SUPPORTING flash player .. !

THANKS ..

Surprising and very unfortunate that this program does not support the Arabic language! I think it's logical reason for customers from the Middle East to move away from buying a Mac

I hope this problem will be solved soon.

This will change dramatically with the Text Layout Framework (currently on labs)

http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/textlayout/

http://www.adobe.com/devnet/logged_in/jchurch_flashplayer10.1.html

I haven't read any of those since it is not my field, but I had a quick look trying to figure out what does it exactly says.

From what I've understand and I could be very wrong, it says in the first url that there's an upcoming project that meant to correct text representation issues up in Flash CS4 Pro.

The problem is within Adobe Flash Player not the builder CS4, there isn't any issue reading Arabic from Windows but only Macs which is the case here.

So its all about Flash Player cannot represent Arabic words together properly and this is only the issue that should be fixed from what I see.

hi adobe i'm from unuted arab emirates?and i'm a mac user
